This article looks at Polypharmacy - the situation where a patient is taking multiple prescribed and/or over-the-counter medications or supplements. Drug incompatibilities, as well as harmful side effects, are examined. Progressive action is outlined on how to avoid the possible negative effects of polypharmacy.
